World Heritage Sites
Ten heritage
sites have been enlisted in the UNESCO's World Heritage Site. Seven of
them are inside the Kathmandu Valley. They are Kathmandu Durbar Square,
Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple,
Changunarayan, Swayambhunath and Bauddhanath. The World Heritage Sites
outside the Valley are Royal Chitwan National Park, Royal Sagarmath
National Park, and Lumbini where the Lord Buddha was born around 2540
years ago.
